The AT-MX341a automatic 4-channel mic/line mixer is ideal for the solid state sound recording of meetings, seminars, teleconferencing, worship services and similar applications. Once set up it will automatically and seamlessly open and close its microphone channels in response to microphone level. It works quicker than any human operator and can be left unattended during operation. All switching is under microprocessor control with proprietary algorithms for instant operation. An individual priority pre-select switch for each mic/line channel allows choice of one-channel-at-a-time operation, all channels active, or any mix of moderator override. The last microphone on stays on so that ambient sound is never muted. Plus, any number of SmartMixers can be linked to create a system for large multi-mic installations. The priority control system extends throughout the entire chain.

 With the the option of either AC mains or battery powering, here is an extremely flexible location mixer with excellent audio quality and really useful features. It provides two mono, three stereo channels and a separate stereo tape return channel, making a total of 10 inputs. All stereo channels have separate gain controls for mic and line inputs, allowing both inputs to be active. Each channel has 3-band EQ plus two aux sends, and inserts are provided on the mono channels. Phantom power and balanced inputs and outputs round out this professional package.

 Here's a straightforward, easy-to-use 10-channel mixer for solid state sound recordists who need up to 6 microphone inputs and a couple of stereo inputs. On top of this are two stereo aux returns, plus two-track sends and returns for recording to and playing back from your external stereo recorder. As with many smaller mixers, this one is powered from an external adaptor which locks to the mixer via a threaded, three-pin connector.
Built from sheet steel with moulded-plastic end cheeks, the Samson MDR1064 is physically quite shallow and has a rounded front edge to make using it comfortable. Although this little mixer is about as simple as a mixer could be, it has a decent technical specification, with frequency response extending from 10Hz to 45kHz and an overall signal-to-noise ratio of 105dB. Distortion is very low, at better than 0.005 percent. Sonically, the mic preamps are quiet and transparent-sounding, with no obvious coloration, and the gain controls are nicely progressive rather than having all the gain bunched up at the top end (as it is with some designs).
The MDR in the model number means Maximum Dynamic Range which sums it up nicely - the MDR440 delivers premium audio performance in an uncomplicated package.
