Because batteries are so much a part of our lives we often take them for granted. Some may say they are all the same. This is not true.

We have looked at pretty well all the leading brands of battery and charger and one name stands out - Ansmann. This German company has built a reputation for superior product performance and quality. We offer two grades of rechargeable NiMH AA battery: our Standard grade is 2100mAh and our Professional grade is 2850mAh. The 'mAh' tag means milliampere-hour and so the Standard grade battery delivers 2100 milliamperes per hour and the Professional delivers 2850. The higher the number, the longer the battery will last on a single recharge. If budget is an issue and you're using one of our lower cost solid state recorders for everyday periods of recording then our Standard grade batteries are fine. You should choose our Professional grade cells in our medium to premium cost recorders, and for when you need to get as much recording time out of a recharge as possible.
