Short Shotgun Super-Directional Microphone

Audio-Technica’s AT897 is designed for field audio acquisition in film/TV/video production, professional recording, wildlife recording and broadcast applications. This high-performance short shotgun offers outstanding long-distance audio pickup due to narrow acceptance angle of line + gradient design. It also features smooth, natural-sounding on-axis audio quality and excellent off-axis rejection of sound arriving from the sides and rear of mic. It can either be handheld using an optional pistol grip or boom pole (see under Recommended Accessories), or mounted on camcorder without adding noticeable heft. Excellent value and performance.

Stereo Short Shotgun Super-Directional Microphone

At just 236mm (9.29") in length, the BP4029 (formerly known as the AT835ST) provides broadcasters, videographers and sound recordists professional quality stereo audio in a microphone that resembles a monaural shotgun mic. That means the BP4029 is easy to use with standard pistol grips, windscreens and camera mounts. Engineered for long-distance pickup in broadcasting and film/TV production, this compact M-S stereo shotgun features internal matrixing innovations that allow for stereo audio with or without an external matrix. It also features switchable low-frequency roll-off and independent line-cardioid and figure-of-eight condenser elements. Phantom powering only.

Ultra-Compact Narrow Acceptance Short Shotgun  Microphone

Audio-Technica’s AT875R is designed for video production and broadcast (ENG/EFP) audio acquisition. Audio-Technica’s shortest shotgun microphone, it mounts conveniently on a boom pole or DV camcorder without adding noticeable heft. This high-performance microphone offers a narrow acceptance angle of line + gradient design. Short Shotgun Condenser Microphone

The ATR55 offers intelligible reproduction for close-, medium-, and long-distance pickup. Two range settings are provided: "Normal" for close- to medium-distance recording; "Tele" for long-distance pickup. In its "Tele" range setting, this unidirectional condenser is engineered to pick up dialogue and sound effects at a distance, while bypassing ambient noise such as traffic, air-handling systems, room reverberation and mechanically coupled vibrations. ATR55 is equipped with a permanently attached 0.9 m (3') cable terminated with a 3.5mm mini-jack plug.
